Off to grandma's this morning. Dad had to take me because mum was working at the radio station today. We were a bit late because dad isn't used to getting me organised every day. It takes a long time for me, and my stuff, to get ready.
Grandma and I visited Nana, and as we were arriving at her place I started to blow kisses. That's what she does to me. And I remembered. Cool huh?

Bedtime routine
In addition to my love of 'dabba dabba' and 'choo choo' I am appreciating stories from books more than ever.
My favourite is called "Growl" - it's a bout a little monster who saves the day by growling - and I love to growl along with the storyteller.
When it's time to go to bed I'll go and get a book from the bookshelf and climb into bed with mum or dad. It's usually been mum lately, because she's got a new knack of getting me to sleep.
We read a story, and then i'll get out of bed, take the book, and put it back on the shelf. Then I'll grab another one and we'll read it too. This can be repeated up to three times.
Then mum will say 'time to press the button'. The button is the light switch. I stand up on my little blue chair and reachas high as I can to turn off the light.
Then we go back to bed and my job is to lie down straight away and not carry on with any monkey business. Mum says she'll lie down with me as long as I don't carry on. five minutes alter I'm usually asleep. Sometimes mum is too!

Wedding bells
Mum and dad had to go to a wedding in the city today, and seeing I'm too little to go to receptions, I had to stay home.
So I planned to go to grandma and grandad's place.
But they had a wedding to go to too!
So I did the rounds.
I packed up my stuff and went to Sam's place for a few hours. We played so much I forgot to have a sleep, and even lunch!
After their wedding, grandad came and collected me and I finally went to sleep at 4 o'clock!
I woke up at tea time, and went back to sleep not long after - and just after midnight mum and dad arrived to take me home. I didn't stir at all, and they talked about remembering when they were little and being carried to the car and then to bed...

Dabba Dabba On
I have a DVD that lives at grandma's place. It's called 'Yo Gabba Gabba' - a kid's TV show from America.
I love watching it when I'm at her place.
I call it 'Dabba Dabba'.
This morning I said to mum 'dabba dabba on' - and pointed to the TV. She told me we don't have that DVD at home, and we couldn't watch it. But we could watch some Thomas the Tank Engine.
I call it 'Choo Choo'.
I didn't quite get the point she was making...and asked again for some 'dabba dabba' - but I think it sunk in when the trains came on instead.

Meat!
We went to grandma and grandad's for tea.
I had one thing on my mind. Meat. It's what I said, and it's what I ate.

Rainy days
It was a rainy day today.
That meant dad and I couldn't play outside.
So we did a bit of TV watching, music listening, and story reading.

Self reference
I talk a lot.
Sometimes in English!
And lately I've been making reference to me.
"Noh-noh" is what I call myself.
At swimming today I made eye contact with each of my fellow swimmers, pointed at my chest and said 'Noh-noh'.
At bathtime dad caught me with a toy Ernie (from Sesame St) in one hand and a little green thing in the other, and I was saying "daddy, daddy...noh-noh, noh-noh" - he couldn't work out which one was which - but he thought it was pretty cool.
