Manners

My Kindy ladies have been telling Mum that I have good manners.

He always says 'please' and 'thank you', they say.

Mum was pretty pleased to hear that I'm such a polite boy.

But Dad thought he'd go a step further and teach me some more manners.

That's because yesterday, when he and mum were chatting about boring grown-up things, I tried to get their attention by shouting 'listen to me!'

So Dad taught me to say 'excuse me' instead.

And I've been using it, with great effect, ever since.

Mum's hoping that when she picks me up from Kindy tomorrow, she'll hear that I've been remembering to use it there too.
